When removing wrapped material from bottom roller, pay attention to which material is closest to the rubber, non-tacky or tacky?
Non-tacky next to rubber
This suggests that the leading edge may not have fed into the chamber, bunching up on the wrap floor belts until the rubber roll grabbed it and pulled the bunched up material backward onto the roll.
Potential causes:
- Obstruction at the lower gate roll. Wrap could not enter chamber.
- Front wrap floor belts not turning when floor is engaged. Cause could be front sheave jammed with debris, floor cams not adjusted properly, or belts twisted or out of sheaves. Refer to Page 4.
- Adhesive deposit on the rubber roll. Remove roll and inspect. Clean with acetone if found, using appropriate personal protective equipment. If such cleaner is not available, ‘neutralize’ with dust/dirt until it can be cleaned at a later time.
- Wrap core tight between wrap supports. Wrap does not feed into bale chamber before wrap floor retracts. If tight core found, cut end of core to allow core to turn freely.
